The attractive courses offered at the school have given an additional impetus to secondary education, where specialized classes in the field of art are opened, “said Mayor Dimitar Nikolov today after the presentation of the new master’s program, which opens this fall at the NAA Branch. in Burgas – “Cultural Heritage of the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast”. It will be in 3 semesters and the acquired competencies will allow graduates to work in cultural institutions and in the field of tourism.
“This specialty was prepared especially for Burgas, we have planned two new very attractive bachelor’s programs in” Industrial Design “and” Underwater Restoration Archeology “, explained the rector of the National Academy of Arts Prof. Georgi Yankov.
The Master’s program “Cultural Heritage of the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast” presents the Bulgarian cultural heritage from antiquity to the Modern Age, with emphasis on the monuments of the Black Sea region in connection with the modern regional development of cultural tourism.
With their complex training, the masters get the opportunity for promising career development as managers in cultural tourism – in museums, art galleries, municipal, governmental and non-governmental structures and organizations, in travel agencies.
“They can work as heads of departments in cultural institutions, museum experts and gallery owners, curators, organizers of cultural destinations, specialists in cultural heritage in tourism, editors in specialized publications and media, experts in various visual arts, as well as in the development of municipal and regional programs for development and protection of cultural and historical heritage “, explained Assoc. Prof. Dr. Boyka Donevska, Head of the Department of Art History.
