The premiere of the first cultural guide to the spaces of art, made in the form of postcards – Best Regarts from Sofia – was held at the Academy Gallery of the National Academy of Arts. The publication is bilingual – in Bulgarian and English and is aimed at both locals and visitors to the capital. There are 11 galleries in the capital, and each of the pages of the guidebook is perforated and can be torn off and sent to a friend or saved as a souvenir.
“Last year, when I graduated, it was time for diploma work. I made a guidebook in Sofia, which was in postcards, with perforated pages, with my photos, and that’s where the idea for this guidebook came from. As for whether it’s retro, yes, but people need to write, to touch something physically with their hands, I think. It is a very good gift for everyone, ” said the young artist Sibila Kerelezova, author of the project.
The project is implemented within the program “Creative Initiatives” of the National Fund “Culture”.
“The images are with author’s illustrations,” Kerelezova added on the “Something More” show.
The guide will be distributed free of charge from June 18 in all galleries that are included in the publication.
It will be available from June 18, Friday, in all galleries that are included in the edition – “The Palace”, “Square 500”, the Sofia Arsenal, the Museum of Christian Art in the crypt of the Cathedral of St. Alexander Nevsky “, the Museum of Socialist Art, the Academy Gallery of the National Academy of Arts, the Sofia City Art Gallery and its branches, as well as the two galleries of the Union of Bulgarian Artists – Shipka 6 and the Rayko Alexiev Gallery.
