In another feat of marketing genius, PORNHUB remastered a dozen vintage porn movies by coloring them with artificial intelligence. And because our worries about the future dominance of machines are clearly to be ignored, the American pornographic giant decides to teach them a few dirty tricks.
The so-called remastered collection of twenty scenes and short films takes us back more than a century to enjoy the work of the pioneers in the genre from the late nineteenth century to the 40s years of the twentieth.
Vintage photo and movie coloring algorithms are nothing new, as fans of all projects can confirm with the word colored in their name, but erotic movies prove to be a particular challenge because the machine learning technologies in question do not usually train with porn.
It is the power supply of the algorithm with Pornhub’s massive vintage library that helps him get used to distinguish the subtle nuances in the colors of penises, nipples and hairy hills of Venus.
