Rakursi Gallery is pleased to present Ina Damyanova’s exhibition Lunar States. About her work, the artist says:
“Going through my inner states, in search of the balance between light and darkness, between black and white, male and female, Yin and Yang, I discovered that it is in their opposition that the secret of balance and the path to building harmony and truth lies. What could be more feminine and mystical than the lunar surface, than its changing states. Transition from light to dark and shadows playing with reflections and clouds. Like states of sadness or joy passing through the face of a woman seeking and finding herself in her own way.
I have been inspired for years to create art from recycled materials, used mainly by the Belana pulp mill in the town of Belovo. The magic and the transformation of a superfluous material into art is real. It brings me the fullness and the feeling of creation and a new beginning.
I use mixed techniques of concrete and acrylic paints to finish my plastic “Lunar States”.
For the presentation of the exhibition Ina Damyanova uses the sharpening of the senses support sound and light.
