A film inspired by the life of Canadian pop icon Celine Dion will be part of the 34th edition of Kinomania.
The story is not exactly biographical but is based on many moments in the life of the star, who is among the best-selling artists of the 90s.
Aline (2020) is directed by Valérie Lemercier (two-time winner of “Cesar”), who will incarnate in the image of the singer, and also wrote the script for the film.
The screening of the film is scheduled for April 11 at 19:00 in Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture.
In addition to Aline, in Hall 1 moviegoers will be able to see Fear by Ivaylo Hristov, which will officially open Kinomania, Woody Allen’s latest film The Rifkin Festival, a short production of Pedro Almodovar’s The Human Voice, the film, The Courier starring Benedict Cumberbatch, and Andrei Konchalovsky’s latest film, Dear Comrades.
