A cinema tour of the places where cult Bulgarian films were shot will be held for the first time within the framework of the International Film Festival in Burgas. Screenings, exhibitions and meetings with filmmakers are scheduled in the program until July 23.
The first tour for movie buffs is tonight, said festival director Emil Ovanesov:
“Here, on the terrace of the Casino, from 6 pm, there will be guides and they will start a tour of film locations in the city,” he explained.
Over 20 Bulgarian films have been shot in Burgas. Some of them – in emblematic places for the city. The route was outlined by Petya Rusinova from “Burgas Free Tour”:
“Our culminating stop is at the Sea Station, where we talk about” Dangerous Charm “on the coastal street and stop at several places to tell about the big names in Bulgarian cinema – Rusi Chanev, Georgi Dyulgerov. We won’t miss going to the house of Apostol Karamitev “, added Rusinova.
There are seven titles in the full-length competition selection of the festival. The short program is divided into Bulgarian and foreign films. Among them is the Oscar nominee “Deep Feeling”, whose co-producer is Dr. Ilian Ivanov from Burgas.
