From July 30 to September 30, inclusive, is the deadline for submitting project proposals for the new edition of the program “Outside” of Sofia Municipality to support temporary art installations in an urban environment with a specific space site “Mausoleum” in the City Garden.

The program “Outside” of Sofia Municipality for support of temporary art installations in an urban environment started in 2018. The first implemented project was the high-tech interactive installation “One Man” by Assoc. Prof. Venelin Shurelov. In 2021, with a decision of the Sofia Municipal Council, the program was expanded with another direction – “Open”, which is aimed at creating new works in peripheral, atypical or poorly developed as a field of art places in the city. The specific areas and zones designated as spaces for art projects in 2022 will be announced together with the open call for the new direction of the program. It is envisaged that in each edition an expert jury will select two art projects to be realized in the urban environment and to receive a maximum individual funding of BGN 17,000.
